The Beside the Seaside series looks at specific aspects of daily life by the sea, whether examining plant and animal habitats, exploring the different jobs people do, looking at types of buildings and structures, or comparing a holiday by the sea in the past and present day.

In Seaside Jobs you'll learn about lifeguards, who keep us safe by the sea, seaside shopkeepers, selling postcards and rubber rings, and sporty surf instructors who help to keep us fit and healthy. From entertainment and recreation to security and cleanliness, there are plenty of roles to explore.
