This book is intended to serve as an introduction to the pests of stored foodstuffs of all types on a worldwide basis, and as a broad reference text. The stored products mentioned in the text are commercial products in the widest sense, including all types of plant and animal materials in addition to grain and prepared foodstuffs.
This textbook gives a broad overview of pests of human foodstuffs held in storage. The work contains a large amount of illustrations, which make the mentioned (larger) species easier for recognition. The text is expanded and is orientated to the food industry, and is mainly intended for BSc and MSc food science students and staff, and related courses as well as for environmental health officers.
