A young woman has her wish granted by an anonymous stranger but soon realises that the wish has strings attached.

After breaking up with her long term boyfriend, Freya is in a rut. Working a dead end job with debts mounting up she longs to escape. So when she hears about The Wishing Well, an app where wealthy donors grant wishes for deserving strangers, she decides she has nothing to lose.

Within days, a donor known only as Anon grants her wish for 'escape' and Freya is gifted a stay in an isolated country cottage, rent free. The cottage is perfect and Freya finally has the freedom to focus on her dreams. However, not everything is as it seems, a young woman has gone missing in the nearby hills and Freya finds herself entangled in the investigation into her disappearance.

As Anon bombards Freya with messages and gifts, it becomes clear that they believe they are owed for their generosity and will go to extreme lengths to get what they want .
