By bringing together research on fandom and language learning, with a special focus on the Korean Wave, this book provides a comprehensive overview of the impact of fandom culture and digital learning on language learning, while also examining how positive emotions such as joy can support language learning. The proliferation of Korean popular culture since the start of the new millennium has sparked huge interest in Korean language learning, particularly among the members of various fandoms centering on different facets of Korean popular culture.
