When everything has a price, what happens when nothing has value?

Set against the financial collapse of 2008, Random Oxidation follows a wealthy entrepreneur and collector whose life, like his finest wines, proves more fragile than it appears. On the surface, his world is one of privilege: he has an uncanny knack for making money, his investments seem unassailable – and his cellar alone is worth a small fortune. But as markets crash and doubts creep in, he is forced to confront a disquieting truth: value – whether monetary, emotional, or sensory – may be nothing more than belief.

Random Oxidation is a tense, elegant novel about trust, illusion, and the price of certainty.
