Streets that have witnessed death, joy and disaster; places to eat, to talk and to live.

For fifteen years, Jack Cornish has been attempting to walk every path in London, discovering the history of the 10,000 miles of streets that connect thousands of communities across the capital. On Every Street is the story of London as told from the gutter, mews, pavement, park and square, ranging from the outermost suburban fringes to the very centre of the capital.

Blending lyrical first-person descriptions, grand narratives and the many intriguing, and often-overlooked, small stories of the metropolis, readers of On Every Street will be taken on a journey across London and through time, at the end of which they will never quite see the city in the same way again.
