Midnight on the Celestial

A debut, darkly bewitching YA fantasy, Midnight on the Celestial by Julia Alexandra is perfect for fans of Caraval and Belladonna.

Prepare to be enchanted and terrified by Midnight on the Celestial, Julia Alexandra's debut YA horror-fantasy. An enemies-to-lovers story set aboard a nightmarish ocean liner.

'Should be on any dark fantasy/horror-lover's radar. Full of immersive magic and romance, this kept me glued to the pages 'til the very end' – Kat Ellis, author of The Devouring Light

When heiress Roe Damarcus fails a trial to keep her magic, deemed too dangerous for society, she finds herself serving aboard the Celestial, her family’s luxurious magical cruise ship.

As a concierge, Roe juggles the demands of affluent guests, cruel bosses, and the suspicion that an infuriatingly handsome silks performer, Ivander, is determined to sabotage her.

But the true dangers surface at night when the ship of dreams transforms into a nightmare, killing all who wander its halls. Roe must uncover the secrets of the ship, her family, and their entwined bloody past before she becomes the Celestial’s next victim.

Staff or guest, no-one is safe in these waters.

'Whimsical magic, haunting nightmares and a twisted murder mystery – all with the added thrill of romance and the friendship of found family' – Felicity Epps, author of A Grave Inheritance
