Storyteller and Children's Author, Dr. Mike Lockett, discovered a raw gem a few years ago when he was introduced to Brad Brown, a musicician and vocalist in Mattoon, Illinois. Brown has the unique ability to hear a song once then tickle the keyboards to make the song come alive to listeners. Brown played the keyboard as Lockett told the stories on Christmas from the Heart and joined Lockett in singing memorable Christmas songs on this album. The two were joined by Mark Lockett, Mike's son, who added guitar, rhythm instruments and vocal harmonies to the album. Listeners have suggested that you consider playing the album while doing your holiday traveling or while looking at Christmas lights as a family. Lockett suggests, however, that adults turn the volume down on the S-A-N-T-A track. The story gives a few too many hints about a large jolly old bearded man in a red and white suit that might raise questions by young children. Lockett says Christmas from the Heart is best enjoyed by adult listeners.
