It involves standing postures, gentle movements and relaxation, and promotes general health with a heightened sense of well-being, amongst many other benefits. Both the theory and practice of this remarkable treasure of Chinese culture are presented. Simon is an experienced instructor, and he provides an introduction to this ancient art with comprehensive explanations of powerful Taoist forms of the exercise. Additionally and uniquely he makes a comparison with the Western esoteric tradition of energy work, including alchemy and ritual, magical philosophy and Qabalistic techniques.
