The Cockney Whipping Boy - By Nicholas McQueen -A Memoir

Nicholas McQueen grew up in the East End of London, selling at street markets, before a wayward youth resulted in him being offered borstal or boarding school. He chose the latter, only to find himself subjected to horrific abuse at the hands of the sexually sadistic teachers. Framed for a crime he didn't commit, he was soon back on the streets and fending for himself.

There began a life of travelling the world. Setting up McQueens flower shop, the first corporate flower shop in the city of London winning awards on the way, with a documentary on McQueens by John Marriot. Mixing with Hollywood stars and becoming the Krays' personal florist. A proud cockney and cousin to the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen. Nicholas invented the worlds first fresh flower vending machine, created a children's book which he turned into a musical that went from fringe theatre to the Royal London Palladium. Nicholas became a commercial pilot with a teaching degree and then a politician. Juggling with ill health.

A whipping boy to the end. Nicholas has attempted to clear his name and see the teachers who abused him and countless others face justice. In this world there are victims, survivors and thrivers, Nicholas like his cousin the designer is a thriver. (A story in which each chapter could be a life story)
