On Matins of Holy Friday (commonly served on the evening of Holy Thursday), there is a special service where, the passion of Christ’s sufferings in the Garden of Gethsemane, His Trial, and Crucifixion through all four Gospels is read aloud in church. This book provides the English text for those twelve Passion Gospel readings.
