In spring it’s tulips in all colors and stripes, alone or in arrangements of bluebells and foxgloves along with the transporting scents of camellias or lilacs. Summer brings bouquets of peonies, lupine, and sweet peas to name a few; and the abundant foliage of nasturtiums. Autumn is a colorful cornucopia of bright dahlias, swaying cosmos, and organic sculptures of dried grasses, hops, and cardoons. In winter the deliciously scented foliage of pine, larch, and spruce is perfect for garlands on mantels and doorways, and flowering bulbs like paperwhites and crocuses line the windowsills.
