The unifying focus of this wide-ranging study is the relationship between Ruether's feminist and Christian commitments. The author's ideas on what it means to develop a feminist theology in a distinctively Christian way (and a Christian theology in a distinctively feminist way) are worked out in the same areas of systematic, philosophical and biblical theology in which Ruether's thought is analyzed.
