The authors are strong advocates for internships in the school setting where collaboration and mentoring opportunities between supervisors, students, and school leaders can occur. They have prepared a text that contains standards-based activities and assessment rubrics to document program outcomes. These activities enable assessment of the interns application and demonstration of skills, knowledge, and dispositions within a school setting. Portfolio development, in-basket activities, and case study analyses are trademarks of this text. As interns participate in these activities, the supervisor has multiple opportunities to evaluate skills, knowledge, and dispositions as well as frequent opportunities to provide quality feedback.
