Written by an experienced tutor, the tests cover a wide range of topics, ensuring that children have the skills and knowledge to succeed in any of the major providers' tests - including CEM and GL. Each book contains 18 double-page tests on topics including comprehension; grammar and punctuation; and spelling and vocabulary. The target times for the tests range from 8 to 12 minutes, making them ideal for regular independent work sessions. Aimed at children aged 8 to 9 years, English Rapid Tests Book 3 features a `Progress chart' for recording scores and tracking improvement, and a separate pull-out answer booklet with explanations and `Action notes' for all tests. A selection of free downloads, including English puzzles, is also available from the Schofield & Sims website.
