Dormi Jesu from The Faber Choral Signature Series is by Vladimir Godar, one of Slovakia's leading composers. Rob Cowan  on BBC's Radio 3 has commented about Godar's music that, "It's as if Janacek, Gorecki and Monteverdi have settled on a universal language." This gentle piece for soprano solo, mixed voices with a piano or harpsichord accompaniment would be suitable for a Christmas service or concert.
