Avandra has taken this intense concept on head-first by creating an album that is equal measures heavy and intense, but also melodic and intricate. Every song showcasing the very real emotional undercurrent that this story holds. The ambience and mood still is prevalent, but is now accompanied by a visceral, dark tone that often veers strongly into a concoction of dissonant riffs, heavy breaks and deep growling vocals to underline the severity of the subject matter on display. Its clear that Avandra is telling a dark story on this album, but it never lets go of the light entirely. Theres always hope on the horizon if you are willing to hear it.
