The highly anticipated collaborative album between Nathan Williams of Wavves and Dylan Baldi of Cloud Nothings - 'No Life For Me' - is now available via Williams' own imprint, Ghost Ramp (via Pod). The album was recorded at Williams' home during two sessions between June 1st to June 10th 2014 and then March 16th through to March 26th 2015 and with production from Sweet Valley (comprised of Williams himself and his brother turn counterpart Joel) with help from Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij, who also performed guitar on the album track "Hard To Find." In vein with keeping things in the family, Williams also tagged Wavves cohorts Stephen Pope and Brian Hill to contribute the rhythm section to the album. 'No Life for Me' has all the lo-fi punk tendencies from both artists' individual bands. The songs are all perfect combinations of each other's respective sound. To the point you almost expect at some points for the tune to slip into one of their own songs. Speaking of 'No Life For Me' and its genesis, Baldi explained "I woke up one morning hungover in Paris, which is where I usually live, and I just had a text on my phone that was like, 'Yo, wanna make a record together?' I was like, '.Okay!' And that was it. It sounded fun." Baldi was soon bound for L.A. to meet with co-conspirator Williams.
