Amanda Warner, aka, MNDR (pron, em-en-dee-ar), burst into the global consciousness in 2010 when she appeared alongside Q-TIP on MARK RONSON'S global smash, "Bang Bang Bang". "When I first met [Ronson], he was doing his last show at East Village Radio and there was a blizzard outside," Amanda told ESQUIRE. "We just played music and talked, It was instant friendship", Amanda would soon be touring Australia as Ronson's vocalist for FUTURE MUSIC 2011, while moonlighting with exclusive MNDR club shows in Sydney and Melbourne that were attended by the likes of SPANK ROCK and THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS, Produced by Peter Wade and mixed by Tony Maserat i (BEYONCE, LADY GAGA), 'Feed Me Diamonds' is an ode to heartbreak and decadence with nods to MNDR's pop sensibilities: love of early house, minimal techno and IDM. "Pop music is a platform to say something," says Warner. "You don't have to only talk about parties." The resulting album thus goes to tireless efforts to translate raw emotions into music that grooves without excess glitter, Topics range from American heiress and bank robber, Patty Hearst ("1 In Heaven"), to the pitfalls of global economics ("Sparrow Voices"). "Faster Horses" draws its inspiration from Henry Ford's famous quote: "If I had asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses."
