Tenzing migrated to Australia in 1979. His upbringing was in a private monastery of H.H the Dalai Lama, where he mastered sacred music and chanting from his monastic teachers. Later he studied Tibetan dranyen and contemporary bamboo flute improvisation. For the last ten years Tenzing has performed solo concerts in Europe, Australia and America. Llew's plucked strings, electric guitar, keyboards and sampled sounds add a multi-dimensional palette of textures to surround the many vocal timbres that Tenzing produces. Llew is musical director for Australian world music supergroup Mara! Who have won many recording and broadcast awards in Australia, and have performed in more than 20 countries. All proceeds from the sale of this album will go to the school set up by Tenzing in Tibet.
