There is really no legitimacy to any claims Australia may have on this 100% New Zealand act other than the fact that they have found their greatest acclaim and following whilst resident here. The words Kick and Arse are somewhat nebulous ones when applied together but so far as they mean anything in a rock context then they apply to Shihad who have been leaving audiences with metaphorically sore backsides for years. The upward course of Shihad's progress since the release of this record would put a NASA shuttle launch to shame as their incredibly consistent and entertaining live show continues to win new fans. This record is more rock than Mr Slate's Quarry business in the Flintstones and it's great production, excellent playing and powerful songs render it a more than worthwhile purchase in any person's language.
