Parthenope

Naples, 1968: Having just turned 18, the strikingly lovely Parthenope (Celeste Dalla Porta) was poised to grab life full-on, but with little notion of what she wanted from it. While her beauty opened doors to an acting career as well as the academia at which she excelled, would satisfaction ever be in her grasp? Paolo Sorrentino's scenic paean to youth's promise as well as his hometown also stars Daniele Rienzo, Dario Aita, Stefania Sandrelli, and Gary Oldman as author John Cheever. 136 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: Italian; Subtitles: English. In Italian with English subtitles. Region Free
