The Danube is a connecting element with a thousand faces: it stands, flows, splashes, tears; is peaceful and fearsome, menacing and idyllic, a gentle home and enticing adventure. In 2021, she makes Frank Wildhorn a symphony: an American interpretation of European eternity that takes up a musical tradition washed by the Danube and brings it - the rich history firmly in view - into the here and now. The Danube Symphony is the first of its kind, and closely connected to its subject: in music and background there are parallels that bring them enchantingly close to a personification of a river that is described in itself as often and for so much as indicative. So at the beginning there is a cooperation between the entrepreneur and client Walter Feucht - who is at home in Ulm, where the Danube is navigable - and Frank Wildhorn, who not only his European roots, but also a years of collaboration with the United Stages Vienna (the success musicals such as Jekyll & Hyde or Rudolf - affair.
