e' la storia di un'amicizia e della sua fine. jean-luc godard era nato nel 1930; francois truffaut due anni dopo. l'amore per il cinema li fece incontrare. scrissero per lo stesso giornale cahiers du cinema and arts. quando truffaut trionfo' a cannes nel 1959 con les 400 coups (the 400 blows), aiuto' godard offrendogli una sceneggiatura dal titolo a bout de souffle (breathless).
