It isn't every day two bands, specialized in bringing misery to the world, decide to join forces. Early 2024 A Thousand Sufferings and Kludde were looking to add a new chapter to their book of vile bleakness and sorrow, as luck would have it, a new project was born. This new abomination would take the form of a split album.Reviewing what songs both bands were writing at the time, it was quickly decided by all that a concept album was in order, perhaps a Flemish tale of folklore? Something Kludde is known for and excels in. Or perhaps something a little more cruel and sorrowful? Lending itself for A Thousand Sufferings to churn out a whole lot of misery in the process.After some brain storming was done, a proposition was made to tell the story of the De Vis family. A tale Kludde was eager to share with the world for some time already. A story of unbelievable cruelty. unbelievable but real.
