Vijf vrienden zijn op weg naar het strand voor hun vakantie. De lol is er echter snel af wanneer Carrie tijdens een plaspauze een SOA oploopt. Wanneer ze 's nachts besluiten te verblijven in een afgelegen motel begint de terreur pas echt. De SOA verandert iedereen die geïnfecteerd is in levende doden. Er is echter nog meer aan de hand in het motel.
