Boo Boo Davis behoort tot de laatste generatie blueszangers die zich nog kunnen baseren op een hard leven in de Mississippi Delta. Hij komt uit Drew, midden in de katoenregio, en heeft ongetwijfeld zijn krachtige stem ontwikkeld tijdens de lange uren dat hij katoen plukte. Zijn nieuwe cd is live in de studio opgenomen, in slechts vijf uur! Samen met John Gerritse (drums) en Jan Mittendorp (gitaar) met wie hij al jaren door Europa toert nam DAvis elf nieuwe tracks op. Stevige, rauwe en compromisloze blues in de oude stijl.
