Hothouse Flowers are an Irish band known for their unique fusion of traditional Irish music, soul, gospel, and rock. Formed in Dublin in 1985 by street performers Liam O Maonlaí and Fiachna O Braonáin, they quickly rose to prominence. Their 1988 debut album, People, became Ireland's best-selling debut, topping the charts at home and reaching No. 2 in the UK. After a hiatus in 1994, they reunited in 1998 and continue to tour and release music to this day.
