Der junge niederländische, isarelisch-stämmige Pianist Yoram Ish-Hurwitz (* 1968) studierte am Sweelinck-Konservatorium in Amsterdam und machte an der berühmten New Yorker Julliard School sein Examen bei György Sándor. Einige Jahre vor seiner exzellenten Iberia-Interpretation von Albéniz, veröffentlicht im Februar d. J:, spielte Ish-Hurwitz die kompletten 'Anées de Pélerinage' von Franz Liszt ein; ebenfalls bei Turtle Records. Das Resultat könnte kaum subtiler und stimmiger ausfallen. Ein großer Lizt-Interpret.
