Er hatte ein bewegtes Leben und genau davon singt er in seinen oft autobiographisch geprägten Songs. Der in Frankreich 1945 geborene Musiker zog zwanzig Jahre später in die USA, wo er mit vielen bekannten Musikern nicht nur die Bühne teilte: John Lee Hooker, Jerry Garcia, Maria Muldaur um nur einige zu nennen. Zahlreiche Alkohol- und Drogenexzesse später hat er nun seit fast einem Jahrzehnt in Irland die Ruhe gefunden, um Songs zu schreiben und einmal im Jahr ins Studio zu gehen.
