To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the cult sci-fi film Total Recall, Quartet Records and Studio Canal present the iconic full soundtrack of Oscar winner Jerry Goldsmith in a luxury edition of 2 CDs. Directed by Paul Verhoeven (RoboCop, basic Instinct) and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sharon Stone, total Recall helps change the future of sci-fi cinema, while Goldsmith's score marks the culmination of styles and techniques that the composer had developed over four decades of composition for film and film and television. Total Recall represents one of the latest masterpieces by the Californian composer, recorded with the National Philharmonic Orchestra in London, under his own baton. CD1 contains the full score of the film, while CD2 presents the album of the original soundtrack from 1990, alternative psyas and additional music. All this material, almost two and a half hours, has been completely remixed and remastered from multitrack digital tapes by veteran sound engineer Bruce Botnick. Produced by Neil S. Bulk and Botnick, this double CD includes notes writer Jeff Bond, including interviews with director Paul Verhoeven, music editor Ken Hall, composer Bruno louchouarn and engineer Bruce Botnick, all featured in a luxurious 24-page libretto and the new artwork designed by Kyle Lambert for the 30th anniversary of the film.
