'Jazz: Red Hot and Cool' is the Dave Brubeck Quartet's live album recorded during one 1954 and two 1955 performances at the Basin Street East club in New York. The album presents Dave Brubeck's first regular quartet featuring bassist Bob Bates and drummer Joe Dodge, later replaced by bassist Eugene Wright and drummer Joe Morello - a more experimental ensemble and the classic Brubeck Quartet.
