After embracing popular song on his first two solo albums; Meridiana (2016) and Diagonal (2019); Enric Montefusco consecrates himself as an integral artist with the publication -on November 11- of Viaje al centro de un idiota (Buena Suerte-Satelite K; 2022). Musical extension of the theatrical production of the same name that over the last year has been at festivals such as Grec; High Season or Mercat de Música Viva de Vic and theaters such as Conde Duque (Madrid) or Auditorio de Galicia (Santiago); the new double album of which he was the leader of Standstill culminates a work of multidisciplinary exploration without much precedent: music; theater and audiovisual in the creative principle of thirteen movements that propose an experience of high -very high- emotional intensity. Apart from the market and its supposed logic of consumption; Journey to the Center of an Idiot is divided into Hell and Purgatory; two stages of a long immersion in the abyss of the loss of identity; of morality and reason. With the substantial collaboration of Nico Roig and Quartet Brossa; it incorporates new sounds close to minimalism; retro electronics or spoken Word reaching unprecedented musical records and; at the same time; placing the texts in the center of the dramaturgy. Thus; drags the listener to a demanding; but a very gratifying trip that shows us the most intimate profile; but also the most transgressive of an author going against the current.
