When in 1960 Elza da Conceição Soares released her debut LP; she had already accumulated a large experience as a performing artist; having toured Argentina with Mercedes Batista . The great success of her single ‘Se acaso você chegasse’ was a firm statement of quality undeniable and the unique style of Elza Soares; she who brought Louis Armstrong's scat style to the samba. The influence of jazz anticipated the bossa-nova phenomenon; that in the style of Soares marketed as ´una bossa-negra´ and is present through the sources of this; his LP debut lza Soares; of course; would become an international star widely known touring Europe and the US and extending her career over the past 60 years; obtaining numerous successes on the charts and obtaining prestigious awards and having been chosen as ´Best singer of the millennium´ by the BBC.
