Mit dabei sind Weird MC aus Nigeria, Simphiwe Dana aus Südafrika, die eigentlich schon auf dem ersten Album zu hören sein sollten. Newen Afrobeat als erste Afrobeat\-Formation aus Chile. Toli Nameless \x26 The Femm Nameless aus den Vereinigten Staaten repräsentieren die erste weibliche Band aus dem Afrobeat\-Genre, während sich das elfköpfige Ensemble Funmilayo Afrobeat Orquestra aus Brasilien als erste schwarze Formation aus Frauen und nicht binären Personen gegründet hat.
