"El Jiro" ist Muchachitos viertes Studioalbum, und das erste seit "Idas y vueltas" aus dem Jahr 2010. Einige der Songs auf seinem neuen Album spielte er schon auf seiner letzten Tour "La Maqueta". Jetzt hat er sie in Studios in Madrid und Jerez de la Frontera endlich aufgenommen. Der Künstler aus Santa Coloma de Gramenet/Barcelona wird dabei von Diego Pozo (Los Delinqüentes) an der Gitarre, Ale Acosta (Fuel Fandango) am Sythesizer und Sequenzer, Victor Norlin am Bass und den Choristinnen Veronica Ferreiro und Aurora Garcia (Aurora and the Betrayers) unterstützt. Diego und Ale haben zusammen mit Lele Leiva Muchachito als Produzenten unterstützt. Gemischt und gemastert wurde das Album von Dani Alcover.
