Laurel Aitken, was born in Cuba where he lived until he was eight years old and moved to Jamaica. His career started singing calypso, jazz, Cuban and boogie boogie for tourists in Jamaica in the '50s. This one is his only Spanish album in such a long career, he recorded it in Spain in the late '90s, when Laurel was in his seventies.
