There are some unions that are just stellar. Maria Rod?s is an internationally known Spanish folk Singer. David Rodr?guez is one of the key names on the Spanish independent scene. The artists have decided to do a project together - their own special twist on pop, full of personality and imagination. The chemistry on their first collaboration is hard to define, but on "Contigo" everything flows, everything works, everything is in the right place, balanced, exciting. Maria Rod?s began her musical trajectory with the folk project Oniric, before beginning a solo career, with albums like "Una Forma De Hablar" (BCore, 2010) and "Sue?o Triangular" (BCore, 2012). In 2014 she released "Maria Canta Copla" (Chesapik), a selection of Spanish folk songs presented in a unique and personal way. This work won over the prestigious singer and composer David Byrne, who signed her up to play the Meltdown Festival in London. David Rodr?guez is one of the key names on the Spanish independent scene - his band Bach Is Dead, were one of the groups that helped give rise to the indie scene in Spain in the 1990s, before he formed Beef, then moving into production - including production for the first five albums by La Bien Querida. In the last decade he has continued with his personal projects as well, releasing three albums under the moniker La Estrella De David. He continues to show off his irony and cynicism on the albums, but also lets us catch glimpses of his warmth and the romanticism that runs through his veins.
