Els Catarres publish ´Diamants´; his fifth album; after three years of recording silence. A longawaited return that marks an artistic and conceptual change in their music. Musically speaking; Els Catarres have had time to investigate. ´Diamants´ shines especially thanks to the synthesizers and atmospheres they have created together with the production of David Rossell and the mixes of Roger Bosch. The word diamond has turned out to be such a powerful concept; that finally Els Catarres have decided to also transform it into the title of their new work. The 'diamonds in the eyes' ('diamants als ulls') that the Aiguafreda and Centelles group sings symbolize simple things; like the glassy looks loaded with feelings. Life tells us little by little; than simple things; without apparent material value; They are usually the most precious. And this concept perfectly encompasses the essential idea of the new songs. They talk about the emotional roller coaster of living.
