"New Babylon", the new album by the Italian band Kayleth, contains stoner desert rock infused by heavy psychedelia and space synthesizers for a massive cosmic journey. This is an intergalactic, fuzzy and proggy ride from start to finish. With an incredible heavy, detailed and cinematic sound, Kayleth release their best album to date. A concept started back with their previous "2020 Back To Earth". There the band had found a cold and inhospitable place, humanity was inexorably channeled on the path to extinction. So they decided to flee immediately in search of another planet where they could dwell. Therefore they came to “New Babylon”; a faraway planet inhabited by humanoids, but also by monstrous and ravenous creatures. There are ‘giants’ that march about raising immense clouds of dust, stealing and plundering everything from people too, alike the world’s massive corporations.
