La ricca pianista Dominique, dopo la rovinosa caduta che la resa zoppa da oltre un anno, ora sospetta che il marito David Ballard voglia renderla pazza. Gli episodi incomprensibili si susseguono fino a quando la donna, incapace di sopportare oltre, si impicca.
