Carol, una ragazza bruttina, vuole trovare a tutti i costi l'anima gemella. Nonostante i suoi sforzi, non si riesce ad incontrare un uomo che si dimostri interessato a una relazione. Non resta che rivolgersi ad un'agenzia matrimoniale, che le propone come aspirante marito Gavino, un clandestino sardo.
