In “IT'S A WONDERFUL WORLD” (Questo mondo è meraviglioso, 1939), il detective privato Johnson giunge prima della polizia sul luogo dove è stata assassinata una donna e trova una mezza moneta, di cui si impadronisce. Del delitto viene accusato un cliente del detective e lo stesso Johnson viene arrestato. Fuggito, incontra Edwine e con lei, attraverso mille peripezie, giunge alla soluzione del "caso". Commedia svitata e brillante con i dialoghi di Ben Hecht di impagabile comicità. “SMALL TOWN GIRL” (La provinciale, 1936) rappresenta una curiosità per tutti gli appassionati di James Stewart. Si tratta di uno dei primi film cui partecipa, seppure in una parte minore. Ma è un film praticamente scomparso dagli schermi italiani e totalmente dimenticato, quindi si tratta di una vera scoperta per tutti i cinefili!
