Angel Dust is a German band that emerged in 80s as a thrasher before evolving into a more melodic sound, leaning towards prog power. After releasing Into the Dark Past ('86) and To Dust You Will Decay (1988), the band disbanded, returning in '98 with Border of Reality, marking a stylistic shift towards power metal with melancholic atmospheres. Their success grew with Enlighten the Darkness ('00).
