SINOSSI
Susan, giovane rampolla inglese, attende l'arrivo del suo amato Pierre. L'uomo però, nell'attraversare la Manica, viene gettato in mare e dato da tutti per morto. Susan dovrà così rassegnarsi alle nozze con Sir Arold, il quale però mira solo all'eredità della donna e ha già architettato un piano con la sua amante.
