Helene, convalescente dopo un incidente d'auto, accetta l'invito del suo ex marito Maurice a trascorrere qualche giorno di vacanza a Palma di Maiorca. Una volta arrivata sul posto Helene viene a sapere che l'uomo si è risposato con una donna americana molto ricca, Constance, e che l'invito viene proprio da lei. Lo scopo della donna è quello di eliminare Maurice e Helene accetta di aiutarla.
