The programme chosen for this release features works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Christian Fischer, and Franz Joseph Haydn, all three truly masters of classical composition. The Divertimentos K 240 and K 252 were originally composed for wind sextet, but for this recording an arrangement by Ernst Naumann has been used. Italian Classical Consort is oboist Guido Toschi Misiani, clarinetist Luigi Magistrelli, bassoonist Edmondo Crisafulli, and harpsichordist Chiara Nicora.
