Departures

Dopo lo scioglimento dell'orchestra, il violoncellista Daigo rimane senza lavoro e decide di ritornare al paese d'origine. Assieme alla moglie Mika, docile e mansueta come poche, si trasferisce nella sua vecchia casa in campagna alle porte di Yamagata. Qui comincia a cercare lavoro e si imbatte in un annuncio interessante, raggiunge l'agenzia e scopre che i viaggi dell'inserzione non sono vacanze alle Maldive ma dipartite nel mondo dell'aldilà.
