Davide Bias e' un creativo pubblicitario col sogno di scrivere qualcosa di bello, di vero. Convive quotidianamente con ansia e insoddisfazione: per tenerle a bada, solo le pillole. Neanche la fidanzata Silvia sa come sollevarlo dalle sue insicurezze. Quando il padre, uno sceneggiatore di film di serie B, improvvisamente muore, da Milano il giovane si trasferisce a Roma dove incontra la bellissima Ludovica, uneditrice interessata a pubblicare un libro autobiografico che il papa' di Davide aveva intenzione di scrivere.
