SINOSSI
Alaska. Chris Cringle (Il Premio Oscar Mel Gibson) è in realtà Santa Claus e riceve un compenso dal governo statunitense per portare i regali a Natale ai bambini. Da un po' di tempo però la sua attività è in crisi a causa del crescente numero di bambini che si comportano male o non credono più in lui. Così è praticamente costretto, insieme a sua moglie Ruth, ad accettare un ingaggio temporaneo molto particolare dall'esercito, se vuole che lui e i suoi elfi continuino a ricevere un compenso simile a quello del passato. Purtroppo per lui ha però portato del carbone ad un ragazzino ricco e perfido che non apprezza ed ingaggia un killer (Walton Goggins) per eliminarlo
